YOUTH DEVELOPMENT OFFICER

POSITION TITLE: Youth Development Officer
AGENCY/PROGRAMME: St Mary?s Youth & Community Centre.
LOCATION: Tullamore.
WORK SCHEDULE: **Apply on the website** hour full-time flexible
working week including evenings and weekends, as required to meet the
needs of the service.
REPORTS TO: Centre Manager
SALARY: Negotiable

ROLE PURPOSE:

To deliver Youth Work programmes at St Mary?s Youth & Community
Centre based on the centre?s approach that is young person-centred,
outcomes-focused and based on the identified needs, strengths, and
interests of young people with an emphasis on those most in need in
the catchment area.

THE ROLE:

_GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:_

* To implement programmes in line with funding requirements.
* Establish new programmes and projects as may be required.
* Develop and maintain community relationships.
* To ensure organised programmes fit within the youth work process
and St Mary?s Youth work approach.
* To attend and participate in staff meetings and other meetings as
requested.
* To represent the Youth Centre, when requested at various
committees.
* To apply for relevant grants related to ongoing work, in
consultation with your line manager.
* To attend training relevant to the work.
* To work in collaboration with the existing team.
* To carry out any other duties assigned by your line manager.

THE HOLDER:

_(QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS REQUIREMENTS)_

* Applicants must have a minimum level 6 qualification (or another
relevant discipline).
* A minimum of 3 years of experience within this sector would be
advantageous.
